How is ADHD diagnosed?

We use clinical interviews, observations and information from informants (parents, siblings or friends). When we have gathered this information, we consider other issues that could be affecting you, such as anxiety or depression. We then consider DSM IV criteria to see if criteria has been met.

How is Autism diagnosed?

We use clinical interviews, observations and information from informants (parents, caregivers, teachers). When we have gathered this information, we consider other issues that could be affecting your child such as anxiety, low mood, issues with learning. We then consider DSM criteria to see if criteria has been met.

How long does the assessment process take?

Assessments take a number of weeks. The exact length of an assessment depends on your availability and ours. We have flexible appointment times such as weekends to facilitate an efficient turnaround for assessments.
