Child Combined ASD and ADHD Assessments
We know that children can often present with a range of ASD and ADHD symptoms. We take a comprehensive assessment that assesses both ASD and ADHD symptoms. We will make recommendations, even if your child does not meet criteria for either ASD or ADHD. All observations are conducted in person at our Central London Clinic. Clinical interviews are completed online.

*A screening will not provide you with a diagnosis, a screening is a 1 hour session where we establish whether or not an assessment will be able to help you. The price your screening will be taken off the price of a full assessment if you decide to proceed with a full assessment.

What happens in this assessment?
Step 1
Pre-assessment information is gathered.
Information is gathered about the child’s current circumstances and difficulties at home. Information is also sent to the child’s school for their teacher to fill in.
Step 2
An ADOS-2 observation (Autism Diagnostic Observation Schedule)
An ADOS-2 observation takes place at our Fleet Street clinic. The child is asked to complete activities whilst being observed by a clinician.
Step 3
Clinical interview, ADI-R (Autism-Diagnostic Interview Revised).
Another clinical interview takes place. This covers the child’s early milestones and asks about specific autism symptoms. This is completed with a parent/caregiver. The child is not present in this interview. This takes 2-2.5 hours to complete and is conducted online.
Step 4
A clinical interview for ADHD based on the ADHD Child Evaluation (ACE)
A clinical interview takes place. This covers the child’s early history and ADHD symptoms. This is completed with a parent/caregiver and the child. This takes 2 hours to complete and can be completed online.
Step 5
A clinician team meeting.
Clinicians discuss whether the child meets criteria for ASD, ADHD or both. Recommendations are also discussed regardless of whether the child meets criteria or not.
Step 6
Feedback session including recommendations and the report is delivered.
This feedback online meeting discusses whether the child now has a diagnosis and the recommendations we are making. Finally, a report is delivered.
Benefits of a combined Assessment
Efficient
This efficient process means that your child does not then have to begin the assessment process for ASD or ADHD after having experienced a stand-alone assessment.
Cost effective
Having a combined assessment means we can reduce our administration costs and therefore our fee, compared to conducting two stand-alone assessments.
